Dancing With the Stars Season 18 will be too Hough to handle in just two weeks!
Two-time DWTS champ Julianne Hough made her guest judging debut last fall and she’ll be back for Round 2 this spring. As Tom Bergeron said on March 24’s Week 2, “In two weeks, Julianne Hough comes back as guest judge.”
That would put her judging stint on Monday, April 7, which is also when the new Switch Up partnerships are supposed to perform. (Voting ends March 31.) So, you have two weeks to prepare for her next critique, Mark Ballas! (Kidding! Sort of.)
Tom said other guest judges will include Ricky Martin and Redfoo from LMFAO. The judges are meant to discuss next week’s guest judge Tuesday on Good Morning America.
As you may have already heard, Julianne and her pro bro Derek Hough are going on tour this summer with their own song and dance show, timed right around the debut of Derek’s book, Taking the Lead: Lessons from a Life in Motion.
Their Move Live on Tour starts May 28 in Park City, Kansas and continues until July 26 at the Orpheum in L.A.
Are you excited to see Julianne back in action as a guest judge?
Continuing promotion on (March 20) Julianne and Derek also made an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show where they performed the full routine that was previewed on Good Morning America. They then sat down and did a small interview with Ellen. You can check out 100+ screencaptures in the gallery and the video above.

Superstar siblings Julianne and Derek Hough will star in their own all-new dance production, MOVE LIVE ON TOUR, onstage across North America beginning May 28 through July, 2014. MOVE LIVE ON TOUR will be a complete stage production, with sets, costumes and a cast of talented dancers, with the Houghs headlining in solo, duet and group performances in styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hip-hop and everything in-between.
According to Derek and Julianne, “No matter where we go in the world, the question we hear most from people is ‘when are you going to do something together?’ We feel that everything we’ve done up to this point has led us to creating this show and we can’t wait to share it with our fans.” The “Dancing With the Stars” champions conceived the show, which they are staging with Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo (Nappytabs), best known for their Emmy Award-winning choreography on “So You Think You Can Dance.” “We’re so thrilled to be working with Nappytabs – their creative energy is perfectly aligned with ours and we couldn’t dream of better partners to bring MOVE LIVE ON TOUR to life.”
The pair, both of whom are also accomplished singers and musicians, promise musical surprises and special guest appearances in a show they describe as “a cross between a Broadway spectacular and the hippest, coolest dance party you’ve ever been to.” The Houghs and their MOVE LIVE ON TOUR troupe will also be going into local communities on the tour to engage local dance groups and non-profit organizations to include them in the whole “MOVE” experience in fun and unique ways, in order to encourage and celebrate dance.
Tickets for MOVE LIVE ON TOUR go on sale Friday, March 21. For tour routing and to purchase tickets, go to moveliveontour.com. VIP packages will be available through VIPNation.com, giving fans the chance to purchase premium tickets, including backstage tours, pre-show parties and meet and greet opportunities with Julianne and Derek.

Highlights from Julianne’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Self!
On her past relationships:
“I’m a relationship girl, and I feel so grateful for the ones I’ve been in. They’ve been excellent – I’ve been hurt but never angry – and they’ve helped me grow to be who I am today. But my goal has been to be single for an entire year. There have been moments when I’m like, ‘This sucks!’ But my dad used to say to me, ‘When you feel happy with who you are, you won’t need anybody to fill a void.’ So for now, I’m focusing on my work and my soul. I honestly don’t care if I meet somebody or not. I’m just loving life on my own with my own two feet on the ground.”
On her diet secrets:
“Eating is an experience for me. It’s like, ‘This might be my last meal, so I better have everything on the menu!’ I love a really good Italian dinner: an artichoke salad, penne with red sauce and a margarita pizza. And then it’s fun to go to another place for dessert because it makes the moment last longer. I’m the queen of Yogurtland. I put graham crackers on the bottom, then a swirl of yogurt and then more topping, so it’s like a parfait. By the time I’m finally done, the thing costs like 12 bucks!”
On her at-home exercises:
“I don’t watch a lot of TV, and when I do, I don’t feel like I’m accomplishing much. So at the same time, I’ll do butt lifts or leg lifts. So I’ll do maybe 200 sit-ups during ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ When I’m shooting a movie, if I’m not in a scene, I’ll squat and do inner leg pulses until the director yells, ‘Cut!’”
On ignoring fitness intimidation:
“People are afraid to go to the gym because they’re out of shape or they won’t try to do a marathon because they’re scared they won’t finish. But you’ve got to just go for it and keep going. I used to hate cardio because I have a little bit of asthma. But I’ve recently gotten into running. Once you pass that ‘I can’t breathe, this sucks so bad’ moment, it’s therapeutic.”
